gaming-updates Live is coming to Austin, Texas. But not physically – maybe next year! On April 6, gaming-updates Live will record a special edition dedicated to Austin startups and investors. It’s free. Register here to receive an invite to Hoppin’, where you can ask speakers questions, chat with other attendees and interact with the gaming-updates staff.

The episode will be great. Keith Melnick, CEO of The Zebra, talks about moving to Austin, where the company raised local capital and eventually achieved unicorn status. This is a great story that resonates with many founders who struggle to find a foothold and are forced to watch their company change.

Morgan Flagger leads the first round of The Zerba and Series C and joins us for this episode. Flagger is a longtime Austin investor who has been instrumental in creating Austin’s burgeoning tech scene.

But that’s not all!

Senior reporter gaming-updates and co-host of the Equity podcast will be moderating a group of three investors in Austin. We want to know where these investors are writing checks and how best to introduce their business to local (or non-local) startups. This panel should be revealed as investors share their strategies and best practices.

We are still looking for a few startups to present at this event. If you are an early stage startup in Austin, apply here. The Pitch Off winner will receive exhibition space at gaming-updates Disrupt in San Francisco in October.
