Instagram is testing a new feature that allows users to discover and support social initiatives directly using hashtags, the company said on Monday. Now, if you’re looking for specific hashtags related to specific social movements, you have the option to support them with new parameters.

Once you land on the hashtag page, you can select “Support” to learn more about the movement. There is also a “Spread Word” button that allows you to share the hashtag page with your friends via DM. The company says the new feature will also make it easier to promote these goals with a “Create Fundraiser” button that can be used to raise money for a good cause.

“Today, we’re starting to test a new feature that helps people discover and support social movements on Instagram,” the company said in a blog post about the announcement. “Hashtags have long allowed people to find new reasons to support on Instagram, and now if you are looking for specific hashtags related to certain movements, you have the opportunity to support them. People often turn to Instagram to raise their voice, raise issues and bring communities together. Committed to supporting the charities they discover on Instagram and always looking for new ways to act, these updates make it easy for you. ,

The company is rolling out a new feature to select hashtags targeted at popular Instagram activities, including #BlackLivesMatter, #womensrights and #climatecrisis. Instagram says it consulted with a number of organizations, including the NAACP, GLAAD, AAJC, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and the Illuminative, to select the first list of hashtags. Instagram plans to continue working with organizations to improve this feature.
