“As the new Tata app comes out today, I am proud to have many of our trusted and beloved brands in Tata such as Air Asia, BigBasket, Croma, IHCL, Cummins, Starbucks, Tata 1mg, Tata Cliq, Tata Play, Westside Is. The new platform is already in place, Vistara, Air India, Titan, Tanishq, Tata Motors will soon join it.

To incentivize customers, Tata offers them “NewCoins” as a reward, where one NewCoin equals one Indian rupee. A source familiar with the matter said that the company plans to phase out various loyalty offers from BigBasket, 1mg and other services and use NeuCoins across all of its services.

Rewards are one of the main activities of Tata Group as it seeks to create a “bonding layer” for its services across a wide range of categories. If successful, Vishal will be tapped to create the largest loyalty program in the country.

In addition to rewards, the company also offers cashback and big discounts on products across all of its in-app properties.
