On April 6, gaming-updates will host a special edition of gaming-updates Live in Austin, Texas. We hope you can join us. This episode, like every other gaming-updates livestream, will be streamed live and programmed to help founders build better venture capital-backed businesses. Extended episodes include a presentation with The Zebras, conversations with check-writing VCs, and a presentation of Austin’s first startups.

The cast is killer, but no presentation would be complete without Austin’s pitch. gaming-updates editors want to showcase three startups from Austin. Submit your candidacy here. To be eligible, you need:

  • Based in the Greater Austin area
  • is the most valuable player
  • Pre-Series A

Each company has 4 minutes to present, followed by a 5 minute Q&A session with our brilliant judges. Companies will receive in-person training with the Startup Battlefield team, who are responsible for preparing all of gaming-updates’s early pitches, the mini-feature at gaming-updates.com, and the personal free table at gaming-updates Disrupt 2022.

Zebra was an early Austin transplant. Founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2012, its founders, attracted by Texas investors including Mark Cuban of Silverton Partners and Morgan Flagger, moved to Austin the following year. In 2017, after raising $40 million, the company brought in Keith Melnick as CEO and became one of the biggest technology startups in Austin.
